Nonprofit leaders carry immense responsibility.
Whether leading organizations, managing teams, overseeing programs, stewarding donor relationships, engaging communities, or navigating complex stakeholder dynamics, leaders in the social impact sector are constantly balancing competing priorities and difficult decisions.
They are expected to care deeply about people while delivering results. To navigate scarce resources while meeting growing needs. To support staff through burnout, uncertainty, and change while remaining accountable to boards, funders, and the communities they serve.
In these environments, the use of power matters deeply.
Every decision, conversation, policy, and leadership action has the potential to build trust, strengthen relationships, and create positive impact – or unintentionally cause harm.
The Right Use of Power™ is a dynamic, inspiring, and relational approach to the ethical use of power to promote well-being, the common good, and right relationship. It offers a practical language and framework for understanding and navigating power with strength AND heart.
Right Use of Powerâ„¢ programs focus on increasing awareness, skillfulness, and engagement in the use of power. Leaders learn to recognize the influence they hold, understand the impacts of their decisions and actions, and develop practices that foster accountability, trust, and empowerment.
It is ethics from the inside out.

Dr. Amanda Aguilera
Let’s talk about power! I’m Dr. Amanda Aguilera, and I support individuals and organizations in navigating the dynamics of power that shape our lives, our work, and our relationships. As the Executive Director of the Right Use of Power Institute, I advocate for a world where we participate in power in ways that bring us closer to right relationship. I believe we often lose connection to ourselves and others when striving for perfection—when we are trying to fit into systems instead of cultivating belonging within ourselves. Whether I’m speaking on a stage, working 1:1 as a power-conscious guide, leading the Right Use of Power Institute, or sharing the framework in my new book, Shaping Power for Good: Wayfinding to Right Relationship, my mission is to move us toward more authentic connection.

I help organizations build leaderful teams – teams where power is used wisely, trust is practiced daily, and people are equipped to navigate the real tensions of modern work. My work sits at the intersection of leadership development, team facilitation, and organizational culture. I’ve had the privilege of supporting leaders at TC Energy, the City of Calgary and the Calgary Fire Department, Electronic Arts, Bayer, Hull Services, and other mission-driven organizations across sectors. I design and deliver learning experiences that are practical, participatory, and immediately operational – whether through executive workshops, keynote speaking, immersive team sessions, or long-term leadership development programs. My approach is grounded in the Right Use of Power, deep coaching practice, and over a decade of work in addiction and mental health, where clarity, compassion, and accountability are non-negotiable.
Leah Fink
My passion is supporting employees’ mental health in the workplace. With All Thrive, I develop leadership and culture transformations that focus on advancing communication skills, deepening team connection and engagement, and shifting inefficient systems. Mental health isn’t just an individual issue. Workplace culture and leadership have a huge impact, and I love supporting leaders to ensure that the impact they are having is a positive one!
