About Session

Note: Times are listed in the MST (Denver) timezone

This presentation will actively incorporate Barstow’s work to assist the audience (e.g., helpers, counsellors, teachers) build an ethical toolbox to inspire them to share the power when faced with ethical challenges in their professional field and personal lives. This is work that the presenter has been actively using with counsellor education students enrolled in a professional ethics course. The presentation will actively use PPT, case studies, and examples to unpack various tools that encourage the ‘right use of power and influence to prevent, reduce, and repair harm” (Barstow, 2006, p. 3). If available, Zoom polls will be used to create more interaction with the audience. This presentation is suitable for all levels and professionals in a variety of field. An extensive handout will be provided.
