About Session

Note: Times are listed in the MST (Denver) timezone

Internalized Oppression is the way we oppress ourselves without even knowing it. Internal oppression can be a totally subconscious action that hurts your self-esteem, pride, and liberation. Internalized Oppression can feel isolating and painful until we FIND the awareness and strength to do something about it. Experiencing Internalized Oppression can feel “natural”, however, not feeling confident, holding yourself back, censoring yourself, not feeling proud of the way you were born, who you love, or where you’re from is not ok. If left unchecked, Internalized Oppression can affect your:

  • Mental health
  • Relationships
  • Confidence
  • Personal growth
  • Career

In this session, you will learn to understand the ways Internalized Oppression holds you back. Additionally, you will gain tools to help you identify and heal these hidden scars. This session will include a mix of lecture and discussion formats.
