About Dawn McBride
Dr. Dawn McBride is a registered psychologist and an associate professor in counsellor education (Canada). Her main areas of study include professional ethics with a specialty in documentation and consent issues counsellors face; multiculturalism; supervision/training, family violence, trauma, disordered eating, self-harm, and the advanced use of many therapeutic approaches (e.g., emotional regulation, EMDR, play therapies, psychodynamic, somatic interventions, & transactional analysis). She has won teaching awards, co-edited a book on teaching practices across cultures in higher education, and is currently writing a book on consent and documentation practices in counselling.
