Pre-Requisites for RSL:
- Right Use of Power Basics Course
- Right Use of Power Core Training
Our Right Use of Power™ for Spiritual Leadership course is designed for those who want to explore Right Use of Power™ with a spiritual lens.
This training is a multi-modal (online asynchronous + live integration sessions), 9-module asynchronouse course with 6 live integration sessions and a live kickoff session.
Note: RSL is one of our specialized, advanced training programs that qualifies as a pre-requisite for the Facilitator Certification program.
Good intentions and high levels of spiritual development aren’t enough to prevent the harmful use and abuse of power with vulnerable students/parishioners. Power is present in every relationship. Sadly, we get so little training in how to understand and use it wisely and well, instead of trying to avoid it. This is a course for spiritual leaders to gain skills for personal and ethical awareness that will help reduce stress, isolation, and confusion related to the multiple challenges of your role power and your spiritual power.
While this course was designed for those in spiritual leadership, it can also be helpful for spiritual community members. Religious and spiritual communities are healthier, stronger, and more resilient when members at all levels of responsibility understand interpersonal power dynamics. Note there is a group discount if several members of the same community want to take this together.
In this hybrid course, you will have a chance to watch the modules and complete the self-study activities on your own time. Then you will engage with colleagues and RUPI facilitators for questions, self-reflection, integration and support during six interspersed two-hour, live zoom sessions to connect with others working with similar challenges and opportunities.
As you become more power-conscious, you will be better able to lead more wisely and skillfully and navigate challenges more compassionately.
