Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the Online Conference
General Questions
- How do I get the Zoom link for the conference?
- Use the password sent in an email after registration to access the conference schedule link so you can attend any of the workshops.
- What time does the conference start?
- The conference begins at 9:30am MST on Friday and Saturday and ends at 4pm MST each day.
- What is the schedule for the keynote speakers?
- The Keynote speakers present at 12:45-2:00pm MST on Friday and Saturday
- How can I access the conference sessions?
- Once you are in the conference schedule link, click on the title of the session you wish to attend. You will find the session details along with a button that says “Enter Session.” Click the button and you will be taken inside the session.
- Will sessions be recorded for later viewing?
- Yes, all participants who registered, will have access to the recordings of the conference, including plenary sessions, keynote addresses, and workshops for 1 week. Those who registered early and received a swag bag, or those with a VIP ticket will have extended access to the recordings.
- What platform will the conference be held on?
- All sessions will be held on Zoom in the Zoom Meeting format.
- Can I change my workshop selections after registering?
- You can attend any workshop you would like.
- What should I do if I experience technical difficulties during the conference?
- Contact [email protected] with Subject Line: Conference- Troubleshooting and we will respond to you as soon as we are able.
Participation and Engagement
- Will there be breaks during the conference?
- Some workshop sessions may have connecting rooms( breakout rooms) during the session. Please remember that you always have a choice to participate or not.
- Can I submit questions for the speakers in advance?
- If you have any questions, please send them to [email protected] with the Subject Line: Conference - Speaker Questions and we will get those to the speakers when we can.
Post-Conference
- How will I receive the conference materials after the event?
- We will be sending out an email with details on how to access the recordings and other materials after the conference ends.
- Is there a way to provide feedback on the sessions?
- Every session will have a Post-Feedback Survey for you to fill out that will pop up in your browser directly after you leave the session or when the session ends (whichever comes first).
- We will also send an End of Day Feedback Survey after each day of the conference to get your overall feedback on the day.
- We receive your feedback as a gift and appreciate as much information you can provide about your experience.
- Is there a certificate of attendance provided?
- No, but you can earn 1 CE Hour for every conference workshop/keynote you attend for up to 4 hours of total CEU credits. A $20 admin fee + feedback form is required to receive your certificate! Email [email protected] for more information.
Keynote Speakers
Dr. Sherri Taylor
Sherri Taylor, Psy.D. is a contemplative, teacher, end of life doula, consultant, and facilitator. She completed her undergraduate education in Feminist Studies at Stanford University and earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.
Her scholarship and research interests include contemplative leadership, dreamwork, the intergenerational transmission of benevolence and resilience, and the somatics of belonging and unbelonging. She is also the guardian of the soulstudiolab and Black Womxn’s Dream Lab.
The soulstudiolab offers relevant and meaningful group trainings, playshops, and workshops for community and professional audiences that integrate innovative approaches and practices from the contemplative traditions, expressive arts, and psychology, with a special focus on the psycho-spiritual importance of creativity and embodiment to inspire personal growth, interpersonal understanding, and social justice.
Dr. Loren Intolubbe-Chmil
Loren Intolubbe-Chmil, Ph.D. (she/her) is an educator and activist with over thirty years of experience in teaching and diverse educational contexts. Loren’s deepest interests encompass representative stakeholder engagement, education for change, and human rights-based decision-making. Loren’s work in the world is significantly shaped as a tribal member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma as well as the experience of completing K-12 education in multiple and divergent locations as the child of a parent in the U.S. military. As a reflection of commitment to a world that embodies dignity, belongingness, justice, curiosity, and interdependence, Loren has taught several courses – including study abroad programs in Nepal and southern Africa – and led a variety of workshops and trainings with those collective values at the center.
Loren has a BA in Sociology with a Minor in Women’s Studies from Mary Baldwin University, and earned an M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Social Foundations of Education at the University of Virginia. Loren is currently a Teaching Assistant Professor and Leadership Instructor in the Student Academic Success Center at the University of Colorado-Boulder, and is co-founder and partner of the educational consulting firm CoreCollaborative International.
