About Session

1 ) Stories from the grievance process of ruptures and misuses of power involving practitioners working in the field of sexuality. Steps to support resolution both for the Client and the Practitioner and ways of facilitating a practitioner back into ethical integrity when repair is not possible.

2 ) Re-education and addressing gaps in education and training. A description of our new training – ‘Consent and wise use of power – tools for Ethical Practice’ – a training for practitioners.

3 ) Ethics is a collective responsibility – Discussion; creating a postgraduate community is an ethical responsibility for any training institution. Navigating the bystander effect, the risks and vulnerabilities of speaking up and the impact of calling out and being called out in public.
