Our Core Training is a 4-day, live, online global learning experience that follows our Basics Training (which is a prerequisite for the Core Training). The Core Training is for people who are ready to dive deeper into all of the types of power. In the Right Use of Power™ approach, we explore our own relationship with power and increase our skill in navigating our personal and professional relationships.
In our Core Training, you will:
- Learn about the neurobiology of power and how to counteract the effects of our brains and bodies on power
- Explore role power differentials and learn how to handle challenging interactions when there is a power difference.
- Understand the importance of feedback and the difference between intention and impact.
- Start to understand the shadow aspects of power and how we can work with them.
- Learn how to work with conflict in power-conscious and generative ways.
- Better understand systemic power and how it influences the other types of power.
- Learn about shame and other emotional experiences that may impact our use of power
After our trainings, participants have said they can now:
- Be more ethically proactive around power dynamics.
- Engage their personal power with more awareness and presence.
- Be more aware of the shadow aspects of power.
- Lean into feedback and conflict with more skill and awareness of power.

The Right Use of Power Institute™ is an NBCC – Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEPtm) and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program (NBCC Provider #6736).
The Right Use of Power Institute™ is an ICF – Approved Continuing Education Provider. Our Core Program has received a total of 12 CEU credits:

I’m a board certified (BCC) life and leadership coach, a certified Hakomi practitioner & trainer, an energy medicine teacher & an advanced RUP teacher. For the past year, I’ve been participating in a team to develop a RUP coaching & consulting application. In my private practice in Southern California, I coach community & business leaders, healers, spiritual teachers, artists and highly sensitive & empathic types. I’ve also studied with a number of shamanic and indigenous teachers throughout my life and am passionate about integrating the indigenous perspective of interconnectedness with and reverence for all life into our contemporary world. To this end, I’ve been on the Board of the Tribal Trust Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to protecting indigenous cultures & supporting wisdom keepers to share their teachings. I am currently collaborating with two corporate consultants to develop a new paradigm approach to business called Business Beyond Usual.
Veronica Borgonovi
Veronica (she/her) is a seasoned organizational and project leader, manager, mentor, and coach, with experience supporting over 40 client projects in management and social sector consulting across multiple countries. She continues to guide a multi-year effort to transform organizational culture around equity and inclusion across multiple geographies, and is experienced in strategy development, evaluation and learning, facilitation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
She is a certified coach through Leadership That Works, a graduate of Right Use of Power Institute’s teacher training, and a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory. She is also an experienced meditator and currently studying the application of Buddhist contemplative psychology toward psychosocial change efforts.
