Marketing Assistant

The Right Use of Power Institute (RUPI) is a small internationally-focused 501c3 non-profit organization founded in Boulder, Colorado U.S.A. We inspire and support people in using their power ethically, with accountability, strength, and heart. The Right Use of Power™ (RUP) is a dynamic, inspiring, and relational approach to the ethical use of power to promote well-being, the common good and right relationship. We create interactive tools and embodied, self-reflective processes and offer them through skills training, programs, resources, consulting and coaching. Our programs are offered throughout the world so most of our work is done online with a hopeful future to offer in-person programs soon.

The Marketing Assistant remote position is responsible for executing the RUPI Marketing Strategy and Plan through social media management, email marketing, research, search engine optimization, podcast posting, monitoring comments and reviews, and online advertising.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with the RUPI team to ensure that target enrollment numbers are reached for events and trainings.
  • Plans social media content, schedules posts, and engages with the community.
  • Processes and posts podcast episodes.
  • Monitors and responds to podcast reviews and comments.
  • Locates potential podcasts, conferences and other events to promote RUPI.
  • Executes and monitors SEO strategy and website comments.
  • Prospects for clients or content partners and sends outreach messages.
  • Provides email marketing support in GetResponse: proofreads emails, executes email campaigns, and reports on metrics.
  • Creates automations and forms for the purposes of marketing.
  • Creates and monitors online ad campaigns through Google and social media platforms. Utilizes ad grants available to nonprofits.
  • Does regular research on our prospects, competitors, their products, and their offers.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Commitment to co-create an environment of belonging and a demonstrated understanding of privilege and oppression and the impact these have on equity, access, and opportunity.
  • An understanding and appreciation of the mission, vision and values of the Right Use of Power Institute.
  • Proven experience providing marketing support including social media management and email marketing.
  • Ability to perform research that is strategic (not AI generated)
  • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Preferences

  • 3 or more years experience with marketing support
  • Training in RUP or a willingness to be trained

Work Hours, Compensation & Benefits: 

  • 5 hours/week 
  • hourly compensation: $18 – $25/hour DOE
  • Contract position
