DESCRIPTION:Right Use of Power™ is a dynamic\, inspiring\, and relational approach to the ethical use of power to promote well-being\, the common good and right relationship. We share a language and framework for understanding and navigating power with strength AND heart. \nThe Right Use of Power™ approach is a conscious ethics deep-dive and recognizes that the issues of power in relationships are complex. Our Right Use of Power™ programs focus on increasing skillfulness\, engagement\, and awareness in uses of power. It is ethics from the inside out. \nOur Basics Training is a 5-hour live\, online global learning experience for people who want to deepen their understanding of power and start to learn how to use power with strength and heart. Empowering\, relevant\, and dynamic\, our program is presented through engaging presentations\, facilitated discussions\, and experiential practices. \nIn our Basics Training\, you will: \n\nLearn about the five types of power side-by-side with people around the world in a connecting and conscious environment.\nExpand your understanding of the nuances of power\, which creates more room for complexity in relationships.\nDeepen your awareness of your own personal power and how it impacts others.\nGet an introduction to power differentials and their key aspects for better navigating relationships.\n\n  \nWhen: Wednesday\, July 10\, 2024; 3pm – 8pm MST (Denver USA) \n(Due to the complexity of the time zones\, we are only sharing the Mountain Time Zone. Click here to see the hours in your own time zone) \n  \nWhere: Online using Zoom (link will be provided after registration) \n  \nContinuing Education Credits (CEUs): \nThe Right Use of Power Institute™ is an NBCC – Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEPtm) and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. DESCRIPTION:Our Core Training is a 4-day\, live\, online global learning experience that follows our Basics Training (which is a prerequisite for the Core Training). The Core Training is for people who are ready to dive deeper into all of the types of power. In the Right Use of Power™ approach\, we explore our own relationship with power and increase our skill in navigating our personal and professional relationships. \nIn our Core Training\, you will: \n\nLearn about the neurobiology of power and how to counteract the effects of our brains and bodies on power\nExplore role power differentials and learn how to handle challenging interactions when there is a power difference.\nUnderstand the importance of feedback and the difference between intention and impact.\nStart to understand the shadow aspects of power and how we can work with them.\nLearn how to work with conflict in power-conscious and generative ways.\nBetter understand systemic power and how it influences the other types of power.\nLearn about shame and other emotional experiences that may impact our use of power\n\nAfter our trainings\, participants have said they can now: \n\nBe more ethically proactive around power dynamics.\nEngage their personal power with more awareness and presence.\nBe more aware of the shadow aspects of power.\nLean into feedback and conflict with more skill and awareness of power.\n\nCore Training Series: \n4 Days (4 hours per day\, including 30 min break) \nTime: 10am – 2pm MDT (Denver/United States) each day \n(Due to the complexity of the time zones\, we are only sharing the Mountain Time Zone. Click here to see the hours in your own time zone) \nDates: \n\nMonday\, July 22nd\nTuesday\, July 23rd\nWednesday\, July 24th\nThursday\, July 25th\n\n  \nContinuing Education Credits (CEUs): \nThe Right Use of Power Institute™ is an NBCC – Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEPtm) and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. Over the last 25 years Susan has worked with thousands of leaders in the US\, Canada and Europe to cultivate mindfulness and authenticity\, strengthen relational\, coaching and strategic skills\, and effectively lead the changes they want to see in their organizations and in the world.  She has a unique ability to create energetic and high trust learning environments that accelerate the achievement of practical organizational results while building strong\, collaborative relationships.  Formerly a Vice-President and Chief Learning Officer in the technology sector and an international consultant\, she was also the founder and Director of the Authentic Leadership Center at Naropa University.  She enjoys hiking\, biking and watercolor painting. \n  \nKi Smith \n \nKi Smith\, she/they (Boulder\, CO) is an IFS Informed Contemplative Psychotherapist\, facilitator\, mediator\, and coach in the realm of compassionate communication\, power-consciousness\, and conflict transformation. In her private practice\, Warrior Wisdom\, Ki works with individuals and people in intimate relationships of all kinds who want to heal relationally by learning how to turn towards inner and outer conflict whenever possible with slowness\, curiosity\, kindness\, and the intention to hold that multiple truths are possible and probable. She also offers a 12-week course which builds these skills and is rooted in the integration of The Right Use of PowerTM\, Nonviolent Communication\, and Internal Family Systems\, entitled “Language for the Open-Hearted Warrior.” \n \nKi is passionate about co-creating beloved community with others\, understanding the integral role this plays in transformational healing of intrapersonal\, interpersonal and systemic suffering. She believes that the heart of healing ourselves and our world is coming home to the truth: we each and all inherently belong–and that we truly need one another to re-member this truth.
