SUMMARY:Universal Power: Configurative and Emergent: Thought Leader Webinar February 2026
DESCRIPTION:Universal Power: Configurative and Emergent \nUniversal Power is the newest type of power that Right Use of Power Institute has been exploring.  How do we talk about Universal Power–power that is both all-inclusive and beyond our human capacity to understand? \nAn interesting distinction that we are making is between the emergent experience of Universal Power coming through us and all creation\, and the configurative experience of Universal Power\, which is felt outside of us\, shaping and influencing us within the largest possible context. \nThis distinction between ‘configurative’ and ‘emergent’ is particularly useful in understanding how Universal Power intersects with systemic power and collective power\, role and status power\, and of course personal power. \nLet’s talk about it together.  This program is an introduction to these concepts and also to our exciting upcoming online course for spiritual leadership. \n\nThea Elijah \n\n \nMaryam Thea Elijah is a Murabi Ruhi of the Shadhuliyya Sufi order under Sidi Muhammad al-Jamal ar-Rafa’i ash-Shadhuliyya. She grew up in the household of Lex Hixon\, a multiply ordained adept in a number of sacred traditions\, and so from childhood\, she has been immersed in earnest and honest interfaith conversations. She is also a Chinese medicine practitioner of 40 years with a particular delight in ‘interfaith healing’ conversations between medical modalities that are rooted in spirit. Maryam Thea Elijah is currently designing and preparing to teach the Right Use of Power Institute’s “Right Use of Power for Spiritual Leaders” program. \n\n \nHosted by RUPI founder\, Cedar Barstow\n \nCedar Barstow\n \n\nCedar (she/her) is the developer of the Right Use of Power approach to issues and dynamics of power and ethics since 1994. Cedar’s background includes 30 years as a psychotherapist and 25 years as a teacher. \nThe Founder of The Right Use of Power Institute (RUPI)\, she and her colleagues continue to grow and evolve the concepts\, skills\, books\, embodied exercises and courses that are accessed through the website.

SUMMARY:Basics Training in Finland - Friday\, May 22\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Right Use of Power Basics -työpaja \nViidettä kertaa Suomessa ja suomeksi \nTule mukaan ja tutustu Right Use of Power ™  -ajattelun perusteisiin \n  \nRight Use of Power™ on dynaaminen\, inspiroiva ja valtasuhteita tarkasteleva lähestymistapa. \nCoachit Huom! ICF:n CCEU pisteitä tästä koulutuksesta saa neljä (Core Competencies / Ethics). Muistathan merkitä toiveen todistuksesta jo rekisteröityessäsi. \nBasics-koulutukseen osallistuminen mahdollistaa jatkon muihin Right Use of Power Instituutin koulutuksiin (Core Training\, Certified Facilitator Training\, Power and Equity Challenge). \nSuomessa toteutettavalla koulutuksella kerätään varoja Right Use of Power Instituutin toimintaan. As a leader\, the concept of empowerment had always carried deep meaning\, and I knew instantly that this framework held something essential. \nThough I once dreamed of attending the trainings in Colorado\, it wasn’t until the pandemic that the opportunity opened up—an introductory workshop online. Since that first experience\, I’ve attended nearly every RUPI training available\, many more than once. This path led me to become a facilitator\, associate teacher\, and board member. \nThe ongoing journey of power-consciousness has been deeply transformational. Right Use of Power offered a missing piece in my professional life\, especially as I reflected on my years in leadership. Understanding my own power more clearly has not only brought insight—it has changed the way I am. \nThe RUPI framework brings language and clarity to conversations that are often overlooked. I’m committed to making power-consciousness accessible across professions\, especially supporting leaders in using their power wisely and ethically. \nI’m honored to contribute as part of the RUPI faculty and Mission Circle. \nMore about Sari: \nhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/sariajankodiversitas/ \nwww.diversitas.fi

SUMMARY:Power-Conscious Authentic Leadership - Oct 6 - Dec 12
DESCRIPTION:–A 12-week online training synthesizing Authentic Leadership and Right Use of Power concepts and practices for leaders of teams\, organizations and communities. The program consists of six 2-hour classes and four 1-hour integration/coaching sessions. \nAuthentic Leadership encourages leaders to bring themselves fully and creatively to their leadership challenges and to invite others to do the same.
